Kalepa is a fully remote startup in the commercial insurance industry. We are looking for multiple computer science/mathematics students interested in a paid summer internship with us. We have a variety of projects available in areas like machine learning, backend engineering, and frontend development.

Based on performance, we offer the possibility to remain part-time after summer (for students continuing their education), or after completing education, possibility to remain full-time.

Example projects:

• Create dynamic data visualization dashboards and graphs for our clients
• Benchmark and improve our internal entity resolution algorithm
• Improve scraping mechanisms of the government websites and 3rd party sources

Who we are looking for:

Self-motivated professional who can work independently and deliver a high volume of quality work in a fast-paced environment. Responsible and results-oriented; flexible and adaptable. A problem solver.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English, ability to read and understand documents
• Problem-solving
• Strong attention to detail
• Fast learner
• Computer science or mathematics student – you can code in at least one programming language
• Strong algorithmic background
• Basic SQL knowledge

Nice to have:

• Python knowledge

Organization:

• The salary for this internship is $500 (~2k PLN) per week
• Start date is flexible, but ideally around July 1st, and the duration is at least 10 weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks
• You should be able to work at least 40 hours per week
• You will be working remotely from anywhere you’d like
• You will need to have your own device that is suitable for work
