I'm a language and educational psychology university professor teaching multiple classes in different subjects, currently mostly in German. I also do research and I'm a published author, as well as own my small online language school. I need an assistant/apprentice to help with my classes and educational materials. I'm located and teach in the US but everything takes place online. Zakres obowiązków

What you will do: § Assist with various tasks connected to different classes in German (possibly also in Polish) like: maintaining the LMS, creating and posting materials and resources, grading students' work, posting grades online. § Collaborate with the professor in creating materials, activities, and assignments for different classes. § Do research on various topics, teaching strategies, and tools for teaching online. § Communicate with students, organizing occasional meetings or assisting the professor during the classes online may be needed. § Assist with occasional additional matters pertaining to the development of teaching materials and other matters. § Organize schedules, overseeing reminders, meetings, deadlines, etc. § Other assistance as needed.

Wymagania

§ German - minimum B2 level, preferably higher in speaking, writing, reading. § English - minimum B2 in writing and reading, speaking may be weaker. § Tech savvy; familiar and comfortable with various online applications especially educational ones (Google Suit is a must, LMS familiarity a big plus but not required). § Ability and openness to learn new applications quickly and on your own. § Pro-active and resourceful. § Extremely well organized. § Self-Starter, problem solver, creative. § Reachable, responsive, and prompt. A plus: § Experience in teaching languages strongly preferred but not required. § Knowledge of Polish strongly preferred (there may be a future possibility to teach Polish as well) but not required. § Experience with LMS Canvas preferred. § Someone comfortable with social media.

This is a great opportunity for current students of German or Germanic Studies (Philology) or recent graduates who are looking to advance their language teaching skills, learn new techniques, and technology related teaching strategies. The position is fully REMOTE and can be done from any place and time zone. It may also be a PAID internship. Salary depending on experience and qualifications and is negotiable.
